Sujeeva is an active music educator with a private teaching practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. She  receives  regular invitations to present Master Classes and Lectures on concert tours and serves as adjudicator of competitions and festivals in the US and UK.

Sujeeva's students were selected as artists  from competitive lists of international musicians to the Aspen Music  Festival in Colorado, the Tanglewood Summer Festival in Boston, Gala Concerto Festival in Perugia-Italy,  Morningside Music Bridge International Festival at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing-China,  the Music @ Menlo International Chamber Music Festival in California and the Interlochen Summer Festival in Michigan amongst others.

 

Her students have also won first place awards at the Pacific Musical Society, Marilyn Mindell, San Francisco Chopin Society, US Open International, American Fine Arts Festival(AFAF) International and American Protege International Concerto competitions.   Sujeeva's students have performed over 25 winners recitals at Weill Hall and Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall in New York and been inducted to the Young Artists Guild.

 

 

Her Studio Project, “Musical Bridges" raised over $25,000 over the past five years to support public schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. These funds have been used to gift a new piano to enhance Music programs at the Redwood Shores Elementary School and the Peninsula Youth Symphony.  Most recently Musical Bridges supported music Education in Public Schools in collaboration with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra League and  the "Kohl for Kids" Program conducted by Music at Kohl.

 

Her initiatives in community outreach have had special recognition in the US, UK & in Sri Lanka.
